Case Study – Sky is the Limit

Before starting with actual lessons, I want to share 2 stories, to show what is possible if you do all the lessons from this course and master these skills.

First story is my own and second is of my student who joined one to one live coaching with me recently.

Personal story:

This happened when I was in my second year of my college. There was one subject which I didn’t like. Even though I attended lectures, I didn’t read text book for the entire year. When the exams finally came I bought the text book one day before the exam. I didn't panic because I was confident about my learning ability.

This is what happened the day before exam ….

I bought the text book one day before the exam.
I read the book within 5 hours (approx. 200 pages).
I memorized what is important – Mainly the headings.

Just few hours before the exam, I revised what I felt was important.

I scored 70% in that subject.

Not bad, right! 70 % for studying in one day.
Very few students in class scored above 70%, that year.
My student story:

This is the story of a student who came recently to do a live 2 day one to one coaching with me.

He is currently doing his masters in Singapore. Before he came to my coaching, he had very little knowledge of speed reading and memory development.  He had never heard of mind mapping.

His purpose behind attending coaching with me was to apply the skills in his education. He is an avid reader, but due to his slow reading habits he doesn’t enjoy the process of reading any book. He has to read the same text multiple times to understand and remember it.

He told me that he has lot of books in his house and there are thousands of books available to him in library in his university. As he loves reading the books, he goes to library and takes the book he loves to read, but due to his bad reading habits he is able to finish very few books.  This is very frustrating.

Here is the quick summary of what we did and what he achieved in 2 days of coaching:

  1. His initial reading speed was around 160 Words per minute.
  2. During the first hour of coaching, I identified he had many bad reading habits like reading same text again and again, he reads loudly, his eyes moved haphazardly while reading etc. He also had lot of misconceptions about reading.
  3. He shared how he reads any book and I was able to find what was effective and what was ineffective in his system. I was able to give him step by step system to read any book and how to memorize it.
  4. I trained how to use his eyes effectively while reading.

At the end of second day, I asked him to select any book of his choice and spend 90 minutes reading it. In 90 minutes, he should go through the entire book, find out the main ideas from it, make notes and memorize all the main points.

When I told him about the above exercise at the beginning of day 1, he told me it was impossible to do it and he won’t be able to do it.

At the end of second day (after I taught him entire system), he selected the book “Pitch anything” by Oren Klaff. He was able to finish reading the book (for main ideas), make mind map and memorize them in 75 minutes.  He couldn’t believe himself that he was able to do that and it was huge mindset shift for him.

He made a promise to himself to read books with my system every week.

Sounds inspiring, right! At the end of this course, I expect you to do the same.

I am telling you these stories to make you aware of the possibilities once you master these skills.

Sky is the limit if you master these skills. Take this course seriously. You need to learn this only once. Learn it perfectly the first time and you will get benefits for the rest of your life. I have done all the homework for you, just follow the instructions and be active in forum.
